usmcsis's Diaryland Diary

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

what exactly is a henge?

yes, it's 2 am. yes, i'm still up. yes, jeff has already left for work. and, yes, i have to be at work in 5 1/2 hours myself.

i spent most of the evening packing and throwing things away. i actually unpacked 2 boxes that i had never gotten around to unpacking when we moved in, and threw everything in them away. it was all junk. i am such a packrat.

i spent a couple of hours at the hospital with my dad after work tonight so i didn't get home until way later than i had planned. but i just couldn't bring myself to leave. my mom got there a little after me and it was nice spending time with them. it sucked that we had to do it in the hospital watching my dad get winded from standing up because the shit they're dripping into his veins is poison, but it was alright none the less.

i hate the cancer okay. i really do. i do not want my father to die. but i can't stand the thought that the so-called "medicine" is making him so sick.

he asked me to come over this weekend and shave his head for him. he needs a haircut and he says he refuses to pay 10 bucks for a haircut when his hair is already falling out in clumps. he rubbed his hand over his mustache tonight and came away with a hand full of hair. this after only 3 days.

because the chemo is so intense he's been told that the symptoms he'll have from the chemo will be much greater than if he was having regular chemo. he will lose his hair faster, he is much more prone to being sick to his stomach, they give him this anti-vomit drug through his iv, and his immune system will be comprimised much more so than the average chemo patient.

he's not allowed to cut the grass because of the mold and spores and shit which could make him extrememly sick. not that he could cut the grass. he can't take a piss without taking a break in the middle.

it's scary to see him so weak. he's always been the strongest man i know. you know, daddy's little girl syndrome. no matter how wonderful a man can be, he'll never be as great as your daddy.

well, i need sleep. dee - wasn't home when you called and it was late so i didn't call back. haven't heard from the lady with the house. i'll let you know as soon as i do. oh, and i have a whole bag of dean koontz books for you. they should last you a year or so. lol

love ya
