usmcsis's Diaryland Diary

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

have you read a book today?

just got an email from creatures and crooks bookshoppe. the new anita blake will be out april 1st. yay! been waiting over a year for this book. now if only j.k. rowling would finish the 5th harry potter...

okay, so, yeah, i'm pathetic. lol i'm all excited about a book being released in 4 months. but hey, you gotta look forward to stuff right?

so my grandma is loaning me the money to get my stuff out of storage. we were going to do it today because jeff was supposed to be off but then my mom called me and told me i couldn't borrow my dad's truck. she was like, i guess you'll just have to get what you can in your car and lose the rest. thanks a friggin lot mom.

so anyway, jeff told his boss what was up and he offered to loan us his truck to use today but then the weather forecast was for it to rain all day today, which it did. so then lang offered to let jeff work overtime today and give him monday off so that we will have enough money to rent a truck. as much as i hate to rent a u-haul it's my only choice at this point.

jeff isn't the type of person to attach sentimental value to things, i mean, he is a man. so he hasn't really understood why i was so upset at the thought of losing my grandma's furniture even though i haven't used it in like 3 years. but he has really tried over the past couple of weeks to find any way to help me not lose my stuff.

fric and frac died. they were two of my corn snakes that i got at the reptile expo a couple of months ago. fric died last week and frac died day before yesterday. of course i was upset, yes, even though they were only corn snakes i was upset. they were my little baby corn snakes, they weren't even a year old yet and they both had such personalities. anyway, so i love my reptiles, big deal.

so i applied for like 8 jobs yesterday. i found a great job for jeff too. chesterfield county is hiring for animal control officers. that is so the perfect job for him. i'm mailing his application off on monday. he'd really love that job, and it pays pretty well too. lol i was telling tara about it last night and she said she only forsaw one little problem, jeff bringing home every single stray animal he could get his hands on. lol

so suz called me last night. only got to talk to her for a few minutes cause my phone sucks and she was on her cell phone and i couldn't hardly hear her. she called to tell me she has a date tomorrow night (i think she said tomorrow night). anyway, have a blast sweetie, and email me and tell me all about it!

okay, i'm outta here. hopefully jeff will be home soon with our pizza. cheese only. as of 3 days ago we're vegetarians. only we're lacto-vegs. we just can't give up our cheese and jeff loves his milk. it's a shame he's slightly lacto-intolerant. lol okay, so bye guys. *waves*

Book of the Day: The Blue Nowhere by Jeffery Deaver.

It's about a computer hacker who gets inside people's computers, gets inside their lives and then lures them to their death.
It's a bit technical but the author included a glossary of terms in the front of the book and the characters explain everything as they go along trying to catch the killer. It's one of those books where you don't know whodunit until the very end.
It's by the same guy who wrote Hell's Kitchen and if you haven't read that one either, you should.
Toodles.
