usmcsis's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- jesus plates my folks got home about an hour ago. they brought with them more mccoy pottery than you can shake a stick at. well, you probably could shake a stick at it, but i wouldn't suggest it cause if you break something, i'm telling. anyway, so i don't think i've mentioned before but i have a thing for plates. you know, regular old dinner plates. but i like mine pretty, old, unique, and colorful. as of this morning i had seven different plates across the plate rail my dad built on my wall. i have like three boxes of them in the attic. what do i do with my plates? i hang them and i use them. when jeff and i had our place, we usually ate off of two different plates. why? why not. *shrugs* anyway, mostly i like them cause they are decrative so when mama and i were at the flea market the other day we came across a particularly ugly plate decorated with the last supper. i instantly decided that i wanted a last supper plate. not that one of course, cause it was ugly. so when they came home today they had bought me two gorgeous last supper plates, both of them decorated in some way with 24k gold. one is more pastel-like and one is darker and more serious looking. they are both beautiful and i immediately came in here and put them on my plate rail. they are early birthday presents. yay me. did i just spend like three paragraphs talking about jesus plates? *shakes head* oh, and i turned the a/c on and they aren't pissed off so life is good. or, it will be when the house finally cools down and isn't 90 degrees. which will hopefully be very soon. toodles 3:28 pm - 05 Jun 2005 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
