usmcsis's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i see you've had some training, mayo so, an officer and a gentleman is still one of my most favorite movies of all time, even after 15 years have passed since the first time i saw it. of course, i've only watched it about eight million times in the past 15 years. but, i had it on video and the ex-husband took it with him when he went bye-bye. and that was almost six years ago. and i just never got around to buying another copy. as a matter of fact, i do believe the copy that he took was taped off of hbo. anyway, so i bought the dvd on ebay. (duh, where else would i buy something... other than target of course.) it came a few days ago but i hadn't gotten the urge to watch it yet and i didn't want to spoil the feeling by watching it too early. does that make sense or do ya'll think i'm a total nutjob? that question is for those of you who don't already think i'm a total nutjob by the way. anywho, so i got the urge early last night and i totally watched it three times in a row. i know, i am such a dork, it's awesome. i even cried in the same places every single time. and get this, i'm totally NOT a richard gere fan! i didn't like him back when i was 14 years old. i was like, "ugh, this has richard gere in it." and my mom was like, "i know, but just watch, he actually doesn't suck in this. well, not bad enough to ruin it anyway." so, i'm crossing my fingers that clue, a nightmare before christmas, and clash of the titans come in the mail today. or at least one of the three. or two. whatever, i'm totally excited to watch clue. i haven't seen it in like a decade. i totally used to watch that movie every single day. i can't wait to tell my brother i own it on dvd and hear him groan at the memories of our summer vacations.
