usmcsis's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- thank you for calling verizon. we suck. can i just tell you that verizon is worthless. our phones are out for some reason. no dial tone on any and when we checked the box outside we're getting no dial tone out there either. so i call the phone company from my dad's cell phone. first of all, i get this obnoxious computer lady voice who wants me to talk to her instead of pressing buttons. okay, pressing eight million buttons to try to get through to a live person was bad enough, now they want you to have a friggin conversation with a computer! and get this, the damn thing couldn't understand a friggin thing i said. it kept asking me to repeat myself. finally the stupid voice was like if you'd like to use your keypad say yes. i'd like to strangle the computer nerd who came up with this system. and to add insult to injury, i was hung up on by a flipping computer three times! the second time i called back she said, oops, it looks like we were disconnected. disconnected my ass! i didn't hang up. the phone was working just fine. the damn computer hung up on me! so then i finally get through to repair and this snotty computer voice is asking me all these questions and once again i am being forced to speak to a computer generated voice. anyway, so the questions run like this... verizon bitch: what is the nature of your issue? me: we have no phone service. verizon bitch: oh, i'm sorry to hear that. do you have multiple phones on this line? me: yes. verizon bitch: is this issue affecting all of the phones on your line? me: yes. verizon bitch: so, you have no dial tone on any of the phones on your line? me: yes. verizon bitch: are you calling from that line now?
