usmcsis's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- life is like a jelly donut... so i got ten big ones today. that sounds not so good doesn't it? anyway, for those of you who don't know, it's the tenth book in the stephanie plum series by janet evanovich. anyway, so today it was released in hardback which i never ever buy because they are too damn expensive. so we, as in target, have the book on sale this week. it's regularly 24.99 on sale for 18.99. then you got a coupon for a free $5 gift card when you bought the book. so i had a $10 gift card in my purse and i was going to use it, pay the difference and keep the fiver. but, the five bucks went towards the purchase of the book instead of on a gift card, oops, since my cashier, bless her, didn't know what she was doing. so that there was already $15 off. then, i swiped my discount card because of course target gives us a 10% discount since they don't pay quite as well as they should. retail is a hard job people. the pay never equals the amount of work you have to do. anyway, so that was another little bit off. plus tax and whatever. so guess what i finally ended up paying for the $25 hardcover book that i've been a waiting a year to read? $1.85! how friggin cool is that? i love a bargain. on another note i feel like crap. i think i am coming down with a cold or a sinus infection or something and it sucks. a lot. i'm all stuffy and my throat hurts and my ears itch and the back of the roof of my mouth itches and of course you never can scratch those two kinds of itches you just end up making that weird noise in your throat that kind of vibrates the itch a little and hopefully it does it enough that it stops itching quite as bad. man, what is up with the run on sentences today?
