usmcsis's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- his name is smokey the bandit so jeff gave me another ferret last night. i went to pick him up from work and i was sitting in the car in the parking lot reading a book waiting for them to finish closing when i saw him walking across the parking lot with something in his arms. (nice run-on sentence there i know) anyway, so he's like come here. and i say to him, what is that? i mean, i knew it was a ferret but it wasn't registering with me why jeff was holding it. he's not a big fan of the furry mammals. and he was like here hold him, he's ours, you said sugar needed a friend. my jaw liked to hit the pavement. some people brought him in to the pet store last night and asked lang (the owner) if he could take him because they didn't want him anymore or something. they've had him for like 5 years but his hing legs are somehow "injured" so he doesn't walk very well. so lang took him and then he told jeff that he was going to take him to a rescue unless he knew someone who wanted him. so lang gave him to us for free. and he came with his cage and litter box and food bowl and everything. he's a cutey. his name is smokey and he and sugar seem to be getting along okay for now. but they really need a bigger cage. painting the house today. fun. toodles 9:26 am - 17 Oct 2002 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
