Once upon a time, not so long ago, in a land that is rather close to where I am now, there lived a beautiful and kind maiden. Now although this maiden enjoyed living out her days in the beautiful village of Spinsterville with her other maiden friends, she longed to meet a charming prince and be swept off her feet. She dreamed of decorating her castle and painting the bathrooms and bedrooms and puttering in her yard. Of course, most of the maidens of Spinsterville have the same dream, but this story isn�t about the other maidens now is it? One day as our fair maiden is going about her normal day she is introduced to a handsome prince from the neighboring village, Bachelorville. It is as our maiden has always hoped, love at first site. The dashing prince makes quick work of wooing our single maiden and in no time at all, she has agreed to become his wife. Now all of the other maidens in Spinsterville are quite happy for their friend. And yes, they are a bit wistful as they gather to view the rock he gave her as a symbol of their commitment. Plans are quickly made for a lavish wedding and a kicking party to celebrate the wonderful couple�s nuptials. All of the maiden�s friends from Spinsterville are invited, as are all of the Prince�s friends from Bachelorville. They even manage to invite a few couples from Wedded Bliss to attend. It is certainly the wedding of the year and everyone wants to attend. Now, Wedded Bliss is the town two hills over from Spinsterville and Bachelorville. Wedded Bliss is where all of the handsome princes buy their beautiful maidens a dream castle that they can decorate. No longer can they dwell in the small cottages of their past as Spinsters and Bachelors. Now, as I have mentioned, the other maidens that live in Spinsterville are quite happy for their friends� good fortune but, they are a bit apprehensive about her move to Wedded Bliss. See, every time a maiden marries and moves on to Wedded Bliss, she promises her lovely Spinster friends that she will keep in touch and that they will remain steadfast and loyal friends. But Wedded Bliss is a happening town. There are things to do, places to go, and people to see. The other maiden�s are aware of the fact that their good friend is going to be a very busy Princess once she moves to Wedded Bliss. They know from experience that they will have to be patient with their friend who will find much better uses for her page than having him dash over the hills to Spinsterville with a note; like painting the hallway. The maidens know that they will have to initiate the contact with their friend for a while in order to get some communication. However, they don�t want to seem like the desperate and lonely maidens that they are, living way over the hills in Spinsterville, they want to seem funny and likeable, should their friend mention any of their communications to any of the Prince�s friends from Bachelorville. So they send a few, short, randomly funny and yet, slightly annoying, notes to their lovely Princess and eagerly await her response. After a while however, they are worried that their attempts to communicate with her may just be too much for her, and fearing that they are infringing upon her new life, they stop. And the maiden, who is now a Married of Wedded Bliss, is too busy to notice right away that the short, randomly funny and yet, slightly annoying, notes from her sweet Spinsters of Spinsterville have stopped. And this, unfortunately, is all too often the way friendships between Marrieds and Spinsters fall by the wayside. And so after not hearing from their friend in eleven Wedded Bliss days, which in Spinsterville is equal to six months, they set out to come up with a plan to get their beautiful and kind maiden to UPDATE HER DIARY!
