usmcsis's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- going to wait some more... i went to work this morning and got sent home after twenty-three minutes. they were not expecting me to be there today so they had already covered my shift, plus i told my boss what my blood pressure was this morning and she was like, go home now. so i have spent most of the day sleeping. my blood pressure peaked a couple of hours ago and i had a horrible migraine. no one was home and i was scared to take anything because i know some pain relievers can cause your blood pressure to go up. but when mama got home she told me i could take some excedrin. so i took four, laid back down with an ice pack on my forehead and slept for about forty minutes and woke up and the migraine is gone. i'm still feeling a little bit light-headed at times but it's not bad and my bp is coming down. slowly but at least it's moving in the right direction. mama and i have talked daddy into staying home and not going to the hospital tonight. he's been there pretty much all day and like every other day he was planning to head back around eight-thirty or so and staying until one-ish. but he said something about being tired so mama and i talked him into staying home and going to bed early. mama just left to go up there and i'm going in a few minutes. will went to a friend's house for dinner and then will be going back up there too. so i guess that's it for now. i was going to do an entry earlier but i was feeling too bad. oh, i decided not to take the decongestant that the doctor prescribed me tonight. of course, decongestants cause your bp to rise so he gave me a low dosage one since mine was already so high but i figured if i didn't take it then it might help lower it some more. besides, i'm not really congested today. *shrugs* toodles 8:03 pm - 17 Nov 2004 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
