usmcsis's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- numbers suck well apartment hunting sucks. lol what rilly sucks is that we don't exactly know what we can afford yet. we have an "estimate" based on jeff's salary and my hourly wages that we've been told that we'll make. so we just kind of divided and shit to figure what we should be bringing home every month. then i figured a loose estimate of all the bills we need to pay out every month, car payment, insurance, child support, cable, phone etc and came up with a reasonable figure for what we should have left. thus, our rent has to fit into this figure. so i found a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath, about 3 miles from jeff's store that's only $425 a month. and why is it on $425 a month? because it's in a shitty area and the apartments are minscule. then i found a wonderful 3 bedroom townhouse with 2.5 baths, available in mid feburary, a tri-level with washer/dryer hookup and gas included in the rent and it's like double the square footage of the 2 bedroom, and it's only (only right lol) $705 a month. having never rented an apartment before i'm rilly not sure of pricing and stuff. so i don't know what sounds right and what doesn't. i guess the price sounds about right for this apartment based on size and all because it's just about the same size as my parents house and right around the same as their house payment i think. oh hell i don't know. 2 bedrooms are of course cheaper but we'd rilly like to have a 3 bedroom so we'd have our room, a computer room and a room for the kids instead of having the kids in the computer room. all this damn thinking and dealing with numbers is giving me a friggin headache. i'm off to pack my cookie jars and kitchen stuff that i never use, like my blender and stuff. which reminds me, deedee, i still have the pan that you brought our christmas cookies and fudge over in. remind me to get it to you. 12:50 pm - 29 Jan 2002 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
