usmcsis's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- it's chilly in here and my toes are cold ah, another entry. perhaps i will be able to get over to mom's house and do one once a week or so. i miss blabbing about nothing. talked to my dad tonight. apparently the doctor thinks that they are going to be able to do the bone marrow transplant early in january instead of having to wait another six months. he's looking at spending three solid months in the hospital which of course he isn't very excited about. but, i told him to look at it this way, it's much better than the alternative. he agreed. i don't think i mentioned that he's developed diabetes as well. the doctor said it wasn't surprising and daddy is doing well testing his blood sugar throughout the day and giving himself insulin injections a few times a day to keep things under control. he's having to really watch what he eats but it's an improvement that he even has an appetite. when he was in the hospital a couple of weeks ago he hadn't eaten in almost two weeks. mama's stressing of course but i don't know what to do for her. nothing i do seems to make a difference. or maybe i'm just feeling sorry for myself. i went and did laundry for her one night and i straightened the house up and bought dinner for her, my brother and myself and within thirty minutes of saying thanks she was putting me down again and complaining about the way i swept the floor. *shrugs* i guess i'll just keep doing what i can do and know that deep down she really does appreciate it, she just doesn't express it very well. well i need to get out of here, jeff's worked since 9:30 this morning and didn't get off until 9:30 tonight and he has to do the same again tomorrow so we need to get home since it's almost midnight. plus the fire is probably out by now so we need to get back and warm the zoo back up. toodles. *waves* 11:40 pm - 22 Nov 2002 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
