usmcsis's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- it looks like rain and i feel like poop so i "officially" start my new job on monday. well, i start training. i have to train for a week at the virginia center commons store then i'll start at my own store. originally they wanted me to train for two weeks but now it's down to one, unless i feel i need more they said yesterday. whatever, i'm just glad i'm finally starting. my raise finally went through at the gas station but i don't know how much it is. i keep forgetting to ask. and it really doesn't seem that important to tell the truth. i mean, it is, and it's great that i'm getting a raise and i'm happy about it and all but i know that it isn't going to be a big raise, a dime or twenty cents at the most probably, and i also know that in the long run, this job is not permanent. i will be leaving there as soon as i am a bit more steady on my feet. okay, a lot more steady but you know what i mean. so jeff called me yesterday before i left for work. he was in ohio. the night before that he was in new york and i forgot where he said he'd be today. oops. but i know he's on his way back to pennsylvania in the next day or so because he might be able to come home this weekend. i'll have to work the entire time he's home which would be sunday, monday and tuesday so i won't get to see him hardly at all but a little bit is better than nothing. then he'll head back up to penn to finish up his school and take his final dmv cdl test. then he will be an "official" truck driver. so anyway, i'm off to clean ferrets. it's bath day for the rodents. 11:10 am - 10 Oct 2003 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
