three additions to the LL basement

well, old school was good, but i definitely liked the anchorman better. but, i must say fal, i think we should definitely add vince vaughn and luke and owen wilson to our list of men we want to lock up in the LL basement. or was it the attic? oh well, it doesn't matter really, as long as they're on the list. lol

wasn't there some talk about cloning at one time? involving russell crowe. or was it steve irwin? i can't remember. lol my memory has been shot all to hell recently. must be old age creeping up on me. :)

well, i have to close tomorrow night. which is okay because it means that i get to sleep a little later in the morning. but, i also have to open again on wednesday which will kind of suck, but not a lot. lol

i'm also training a bunch of new people this week. new cashiers that my boss wants to be cross-trained on the front end as well as at food. after they're all trained it will make my life a lot easier, but training them may prove to be a little rough. we'll see though. i'll have to go in and erase my first impressions of them and get to know them and work with them before i can really form a good opinion. i have to keep reminding myself of that.

take for instance the girl that hasn't even been here for 12 days yet, she's called off three times. she's been over an hour late twice, and had to leave at least an hour, one day four hours, early on most of the other days she's been scheduled.

but i guess she's not a good example. she quit today after finding out that she was going to have to work weekends and nights. the fact that she had been told this numerous times seemed to have escaped her memory cause she totally flipped out today. but, no big loss is the main opinion of most of us.

i just don't understand why people even bother getting jobs sometimes. just stay home and watch mtv and stop stressing those of us who have to clean up after you.

sheesh

i didn't mean for this to turn into a high-school-kids-who-want-to-get-paid-without-having-to-work rant.

and of course, it isn't just the high schoolers either. there are people older than me who don't want to work. but they want to come in and pick up a paycheck every two weeks and get paid for wasting our time for forty hours a week.

okay, i'm still in rant mode apparently. sorry about that.

actually, i think i'm going to take the bug to bed and read my book for a while. she's not feeling well but she won't go to bed as long as i'm on the computer. she just sits here next to me and watches me and every once in a while she heaves this big huge sigh. so i'm finally going to take her hint and go to bed. toodles.
