usmcsis's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i'm so not a movie critic so i got up early as shit for some reason this morning and started doing housework. don't know why but i'm in the mood to clean. better use it up while it lasts. lol so while i was folding clothes and cleaning the living room i put in dracula 2000. luke loaned it to us because i haven't seen it. jeff rented it last year with miss you-know-who (well, deedee knows who, the T-word girl). anyway, so i haven't seen it and luke loaned it to me. so i watched it this morning. it was a good premise. definitely a new take and on the same old story. having dracula become from judas iscarot was a whole new twist. but, you could so tell that this is a wes craven movie. the herorine of the movie was just as dumb as all the others in his movies. because of course, when you're being chased by the king of the undead, the first place i'm going to hide is in a cemetary. um, no. anyway, all in all it was pretty good. i noticed after i finished watching it, that there was a surprising lack of language in it. meaning, a lack of bad language. you'd think, nowadays, being stalked by dracula would make one take liberal use of the f-word. not so in this movie. so i suck as a movie critic. oh well. jeff and i have gotten an offer from a guy who lives down in waverly for several snakes as well as a butt load of feeders (ie: frozen mice and rats) for very very cheap. granted money is way tight right now but the deal he is offering is so sweet it's hard to pass up. we're going down tonight to take a look and see what we can work out. hey, if i have to eat ramon noodles for a bit longer in order to make some money off some great breeders he's offering so be it. 12:55 pm - 28 Jul 2002 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
